Celebrate with this Cutie!

Once again, Michelle is knocking out the cards! Thank heavens she is because my personal life has turned into a whirlwind the past couple of weeks. I'm actually very late posting this card she made using the Ice Cream set. These colors just scream summer to me! Make sure you check out Michelle's blog and leave her a comment. I just love what she's doing with some of my favorite stamp sets!!

Happy Easter card!

I can't tell you how fun it is watching my inbox for a new card from Michelle! She used the I Love Easter set for this E is for Easter challenge on the ABC Challenge blog and a sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar.

I thought I was getting in the mood for Easter. After all, it was 80 degrees here yesterday. Now they're predicting rain, sleet and SNOW tomorrow!!! What is up with that?

Another Gem from Michelle!

I told you she amazes me with her output of cards!!! Michelle made this card with a Distressing Challenge in mind. She used several distressing techniques....chalking, inking, crumpling and tearing. I just love this image from the Pirates set, a sentiment from Treasure Seeker, and my favorite embellishment.....lots of jewels!!!

Make sure you check out Michelle's blog and leave her some blog lovin'!

Introducing Michelle!

I'm not sure exactly when I found Michelle's blog, but I've been following it for a while. It's always fun to find another challenge junkie. And I'm amazed and inspired at how many challenges Michelle is able to complete all while being a busy working mom of 2 boys, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She even hosts monthly challenges on her own blog. On a whim, I asked Michelle if she would be interested in using some TAC images for some cards while I am trying to get through the last few weeks of tax season. I was so happy that she agreed.

And just look at this HOT flamingo!! I love the color combo she used on this card featuring one of the fun images in the Tickled Pink set. This card is making me long for one of those hot days of summer when heading to the pool is the best option. I'm thinking that would feel pretty good right now since I just walked in from getting the paper and it's in the teens out there!!!

I love this card! Thanks Michelle...I can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve.

Cars Birthday Card for Amy R.'s Friday Sketch #50

It took me a while to decide what set to use for Amy R.'s Friday Sketch #50. Then I remembered this Cars set that had never seen ink! Layers of Just Like Dad papers, some embossing with the Houndstooth Cuttlebug folder, a sentiment from Tag Tidbits, and some fiber from my stash. I'm pretty happy with this masculine birthday card which can be some of the hardest cards to come up with.

Don't forget there are a few more hours to enter my blog candy giveaway here!! I'm off to get moving on a busy, busy day. Hope you have a great one!

Hey Chick! There's a New Card Sketch Blog

You might have figured out I'm addicted to card sketches. I was super excited to find a new sketch blog this week, Card Patterns. I used CP Sketch #3 to make this fun card using the Hey Chick stamps I added to my collection during the 50% off sale. The paper is from Sassafras Lass, and the ribbon is from my stash. I just love this sentiment!!! I think I'm just going to leave this set out on my table and make a few more cards before I put it away.

Whew! Time for another Amy R Sketch (#49)

I can't tell you how happy I am to make something that's not pink or red! I do love making Valentine's projects, but I always get a little tired of it by the time the day arrives.

Just recently, I started participating in Amy R.'s weekly sketches, and I love them! Here is her Friday Sketch #49.

And here's my take on it! I colored in the monkey from the Happy Day set with prismacolor pencils and OMS. The patterned paper is Rustic Chic. The faux stitching on the center strip is just as crooked as my sewing machine stitching would be. LOL And I added some buttons from my stash.

That little monkey just cracks me up! And I can totally identify. Sometimes I have so many balls juggling at the same time, I feel the same way!

Pinkalicious!

If you've been following along, I'm working on Kraftin' Kimmie's birthday challenges. For Day Three of the Birthday Celebrations, Kimmie wants pink and at least one button. Do you think this is pink enough? LOL I have a sweet online friend that is obsessed with pink, so I'll be mailing this card to her.

I started with Taylor's Sketch #54 and pulled out my somewhat neglected Tickled Pink stamp set. I paired it up with some Mimi and Catelynne papers, a flower and a button from my stash.

I'm halfway through the challenges, and I have ideas floating in my head for the three remaining ones. Time will tell though if I actually have a chance to get them done. I have yet to start any Valentine's for my kids' classmates, and I refuse to buy them. :) It's not too late for you though...head on over to Kimmie's blog and see what great prizes she is giving away!

Gerbera Daisy Sympathy

I'm back with my card for the second challenge in Kraftin' Kimmie's Birthday Challenges. The specifics were to make a card using her layout design with some dry embossing. Sadly, I need to get a sympathy card in the mail. But Kimmie's challenge helped me create a suitable (dare I say beautiful?) sympathy card. The Gerbera Daisy is colored with Prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. And YIKES! I cannot find my With Sympathy set. I finally gave up the search and used a beautiful sentiment from Treehouse Stamps. The velvet ric-rack was in my stash. And can you see the embossed frame? It adds some elegance to the card and was done with only my Scor-Pal.

Okay...two challenges down. Can I get four more done before the Birthday Celebrations are over???

A Little Whimsy Birthday

Kraftin' Kimmie is running lots of Birthday Challenges on her blog with some great prizes! This card was made for her first challenge....to make a birthday card with some purple! Using purple is not hard for me since it's my favorite color.

I loosely followed Taylor's sketch from last week (yes...I'm running behind), stamped the image from the All Occasion Icons set then embossed it with white EP, and paired it up with some A Little Whimsy paper. And I actually made two of these in an effort to build up my stash. There is still plenty of time if you want to join in on Kimmie's Birthday Challenge Fest...go check it out!

Quick Little Valentines

I used this blog tutorial to make some cute little scalloped cards...added a square of Uptown Girl paper, the heart from Forever Family, and a current GWP sentiment set. And I have no idea what's up with this picture...the ink color doesn't clash with the pink cardstock in real life!!

It's my Anniversary!

Yep! It's been 11 years since we tied the knot! Click here if you want to see us on our special day. I wanted to make a special card for my groom, but it's a challenge to make a "romantic masculine" card. Too often I think that phrase is an oxymoron. But I think this attempt turned out rather well.

I started with this week's sketch from Mercy Kerin, some Rustic Chic papers, and the Forever Family stamp set. I used a marker to ink up only the "forever" in the phrase stamp. And I even finished off the inside...something I rarely do, but this is for someone special, right? The heart is also from the Forever Family set, and the sentiment was a GWP in the previous catalog. I think this card would work very well for Valentine's Day too if you're still needing for an idea for that special guy.

Don't forget about the class kit giveaway! You still have a few hours to post a comment to win!

Amy R's Friday Sketch

I just recently started trying some of Amy R's sketches. I really love this Friday Sketch!

The patterned paper is Amberley Grace and the sentiment is one of the GWP's in the current catalog. Did you know that for every $30 in purchases from The Angel Company you can choose a Free Gift With Purchase (GWP) stamp? The Petaloo flowers and rhinestone brad were RAK'd to me by an online scrapping gal Deb Harter, and I found the button and satin ribbon in my stash. Make sure you check out Deb's blog! She is one awesome scrapbooker!

Thanks Amy for another great sketch! I'm planning on using this one again very very soon.

Class Projects - last installment and A Giveaway!!!

As promised, here are the rest of the projects we made yesterday in the "love-themed" class!

This one uses the Seeds of Blessing stamps colored in with markers. It's hard to tell in the photo, but we painted the "heart wings" with Candle Light Shimmerz.

The next card uses a stamp from the All Occasion Icons set and paper from the Uptown girl collection. We stamped the image with Versamark, heat embossed using black embossing powder then cut out the image and adhered it with pop dots.

This sweet little decor project uses Catelynne papers and the Love Blooms set in the Fall Supplement. All on a 4" square coaster with a magnet on the back.

And our last project is an oldie, but a goodie! Especially for using up those little clamshell cases that the Free GWP stamps come in. Four Hershey nuggets fit perfectly in those. We used the January Stamp of the Month Dropping Boxes on address labels to wrap the nuggets. The outside is decorated with a couple of little images from the Sweet Goodies set and finished off with some cute heart ribbon from one of the big-box craft stores.

Want a chance to make these projects? I have 2 class kits left over to send out to two lucky winners. All the cutting, stamping, embossing will be done so you can just put these 6 little projects together in a jiffy! That would be a great way to get some Valentine's cards and gifts made if you find yourself running short on time. And yes...the chocolate is included! *wink*

To enter the giveaway, just post a comment telling me which of the six projects is your favorite! Here and Here are the two that were shown earlier. For a second chance in the drawing, link me up to your blog post or forum announcement spreading the word about this giveaway! Post your comments by 11:59PM CST on Saturday, January 31st. Winners will be chosen using Random.org and will be announced on Sunday, February 1. The kits will go postal as soon as I have the mailing address for the winners. It should be in plenty of time for you to actually USE these before Valentine's Day!!!

And don't forget....just a little over 24 hours left to grab these stamp sets at 50% off!!! Click here for more info and please email me if you have any questions or want to place an order at these unbelievable prices!
