CPS 44 - Out with the Old....In with the New!!

Yesterday was the last day to order the retiring paper collections and stamp sets....including the Cheers set that I used to make this Happy New Year's card. I started with the sketch from CPS 44. The black circle is Cuttlebugged using the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. Cardstock from Bazzill, Ribbon is Offray. Paper is from the Uptown Girl WingItCollection. The images were stamped with Starlite Silver Brilliance ink, and I added Stardust Stickles to the drink in the glass and the bubbles in the air.

















As much as I hate to see the Cheers set retire, I am really excited about the new catalog! I have my one copy....still waiting for my order to arrive so I can get one in your hands ASAP! If you placed an order with me in 2007, I will automatically be sending you one when they arrive.

This was one of the Christmas cards I sent out this year. I think they all should have arrived by now. I held off posting them since I wanted them to be a surprise. This card uses the older Blitzen paper from Basic Grey and the Cheers stamp set which will retire on December 28. I am so glad I got this set before it is no longer available. Merry Wishes Snowflakes - Sketch #28

One more card finished for the 28th sketch in Angel's birthday countdown! This card uses pink cardstock from my stash, my new Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder, paper from the Merry Wishes collection and stamp sets Ornamental Snowflakes and Cheers. I tried combining glittery silver embossing powder with the white embossing powder for the snowflakes. Sad to say I think it just made it look like dirty snow. I think I'll stick with plain white from now on. The sentiment has a special meaning to me, and I'm just glad I got my hand on this set before it retires at the end of the year.
