Jen's SFYTT

I'm finally getting around to posting my attempt using Jen's weekly sketch! This card uses Winter Tags, Cheers (for the sentiment), and the Amelia paper collection.

Make sure you check out Jen's blog. She posts a sketch every Saturday and she posted a fun giveaway earlier today!

Mojo Monday #12

Used Monday's Mojo sketch for this cute card! Used Merry Wishes paper, Bazzill cardstock, my Cuttlebug snowflakes folder. The image is from Everyday Events, colored in with Tombow markers, white fun flock and Stickles for the belt buckle and his pink nose and mouth.

GWP Cherries - Di Hickman Nov #2 Sketch

In my feeble (and, so far, unsuccessful effort) to do some reorganizing in my little papercrafting corner, I ran across this patterned paper that came in a scrapbooking kit at least 3 years ago. I didn't even remember owning anything like this. But when I saw it, I immediately thought of my new Cherries stamp. And I also remembered this week's sketch from Di Hickman. This is one of the fifteen "thank you" stamps free with any purchase of $30 or more - also known as Gift with Purchase stamps. But it gets even better. For orders placed by November 30, you get TWO free stamps with your $30 purchase. Feel free to email me for the details.

Beate Sketch 28 - Let's Eat!

WooHoo! I actually finished this weekend's sketch from Beate on time! In honor of the week, I used the Count Your Blessings set from the Fall Supplement and the Amelia Paper Collection. Hope everyone enjoys all the yummy food that will be prepared this week. And for those of you cooking the whole meal, I hope you find a recruit to massage your tired feet on Thursday night.

Angel's Monday Sketch #1-Another Toodle Loo Birthday

After a flurry of daily sketches, Angel has finally slowed down to a weekly pace I *might* be able to keep up with. LOL

This card uses her Monday sketch #1. This is another card using the Toodle Loo paper collection and the Everyday Events stamps. The vase is paper-pieced. Flowers and leaves are colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. Cardstock is Bazzill and ribbon is from my stash.

What's Moo?

Isn't this little cow the cutest? I have a thing for cows...always have. Probably because my dad raises beef cattle, and I've been around them my whole life. I used LAST WEEK's sketch from Beate, (I'm always running about a week behind schedule), the What's Moo stamp set and Gentle Beginnings paper pad.

Scalloped Circle Ornament

I used my mega scalloped circle punch, the Merry Wishes paper collection, and ribbon from my stash to make this quick Christmas ornament.

I've been tagged!

Whew! It's been one of those weeks with little or no time to create. I hate to be a neglectful blogger, but I've got my fingers crossed I'll be able to finish a thing or two tomorrow. I've been tagged by my dearest upline, Jen! She is just a ball of energy. I honestly don't know how she does all she does. Make sure you pay her blog a visit.

Here are the questions:

1)If you could have 100.00 pounds worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?

WOW! That's a hard one. But even though I think I already have enough to last me for a decade or so, I'd take the paper.

2) If you had to choose between using only stamps or rub ons which would you choose?

Definitely stamps. They are just so much more versatile.

3) If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts, but could only do one for a year which would you do?

This is a tough one too! I hate to think about getting yet another year behind in my scrapping, but right now cards are much more fun for me. And I guess if you're already 40 years behind on layouts, what's 41? LOL

4) Would you rather own a scrap booking store or have your own scrapping room at home ?

I would definitely take the scrapping room at home. And while we're dreaming, let's make it a BIG room!

5) And the last but not least, what is your current cardmaking or scrapping style?

I am not sure I have a definitive style. Usually it's just whosever style has inspired me the most recently. :)

Now I am to tag 5 other blogging friends.... so here I go:

1. Linda
2. Amy
3. Denean
4. Chelle
5. Jennifer

Merry Wishes Snowflakes - Sketch #28

One more card finished for the 28th sketch in Angel's birthday countdown! This card uses pink cardstock from my stash, my new Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder, paper from the Merry Wishes collection and stamp sets Ornamental Snowflakes and Cheers. I tried combining glittery silver embossing powder with the white embossing powder for the snowflakes. Sad to say I think it just made it look like dirty snow. I think I'll stick with plain white from now on. The sentiment has a special meaning to me, and I'm just glad I got my hand on this set before it retires at the end of the year.

Amelia Thanksgiving Card - Sketch #20

Just a couple more days to get as many of Angel's sketches done as I can. I don't have nearly as many entries as alot of folks, but she has given me the incentive to make more cards in one month than I ever do (with the exception of December when I mass-produce our family Christmas cards). This card uses the Amelia paper collection and the Count Your Blessings stamp set from the Fall Supplement. I paper-pieced her dress and hat, and then used my Prismacolors for the rest.

Toodle Loo Birthday Card

Even though I've fallen terribly behind with Angel's sketches, I haven't given up. I used her Sketch 25 for this birthday card. The paper and tab die-cut are from the Toodle Loo Collection, and I used the Everyday Events stamp set.

I got my Wings!!

I took the plunge and signed up with The Angel Company! And WOW! Look at all the goodies in my starter kit. I am so excited to be Angel #4076. I started this blog to share all my TAC creations and specials, so check back often for updates and (hopefully) some inspiration. I'll also have a link here for online ordering in the very near future.

Here's a pic of my starter kit. Now if this isn't enough to get the mojo flowing, I don't know what is. *BIG SMILES*

If you've ever wanted a set of wings yourself, November is a great time to sign up! New Angels will receive $50 additional FREE T-coded stamps with their starter kit (which already includes 7 stamp sets of your choice and the Stamp of the Month). I'm just getting started, and I'm already in love with this company. Whether you are an enthusiast or a hobbyist, there is a set of wings just your size waiting for you! Feel free to email me if you have any questions (link on the right).
